The league of Nigerian movie producers have produced a lot of movies on the subject of love, than any other subject. They have taught numerous of us the reasons to love our neighbors, enemies and spouses. Most of these movies have passed messages to many broken homes, for unity to reign between husbands and wives.A lot of Nigerian writers have written countless books on marriage.
Various articles have been published daily, monthly and yearly on the subject of love and marriage. Yet, you will still wonder why Nigeria holds the record of the country that has at least the highest number of broken homes.In Nigeria here, you can't count the number of churches you will see when scrolling on a street not to talk of counting the total number of Churches that are founded in Nigeria.
Yet, Nigeria is battling with a lot of problems. Insecurity, unemployment, corruption etc have established their seats in Nigeria. But these churches and Mosque preaches against these things.
Why do we still have problems? The reason is this, Nigeria is filled with self-willed, arrogant and stubborn people. Some people are unteachable. They will never want to change. Disobedience and unteachable spirit is the pitfall of many of us. Sometimes, when you listen to sermons, you yell, shout and give the pastor a clapping ovation but you won't apply what the pastor says. You don't become an outstanding person, if you are not ready to take correction.Most people listen to teachings for mere enjoyment. If we have been putting what we have learnt into action, we would have experience great progress in all our efforts.The truth is this, to be corrected is easy but to take heed is the problem.
Whenever you read or listen to educative or life-changing messages, enjoy it and make sure you apply the lesson therein. Realize your mistakes and be determined to change. We shall keep learning everyday, there is no Mr-know-all. We are all learning as time goes by.
When you watch films, read articles, listen to messages and it's in line with the scriptures, kindly abide by it. Don't be a stiff-necked person for you not to perish.
