We will remain static in life until we begin to accept full responsibility for our failures and woes. People like to ascribe their problem to the work of the devil or the witches and wizard not knowing that they are indeed the sources of their problems.
From the onset, in the garden of Eden, when man goes beyond his boundary where God had put him. God asked Adam why he decided to contravene the law, the Lord had dished out to him which says he mustn't eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam optimistically shifted the blame on Eve saying;
"The woman you put here with me - she gave me some fruit from the tree and I ate it." - Gen 3:12.
Eve, Adam's wife did not also blame herself, she immediately blamed the serpent for its subtility, saying;
"The serpent deceived me, and I ate." - Gen 3:13.
You can see that man is a product of Adam and Eve, some of us are still sharing their characteristics, despite having accepted Jesus Christ.
That's why you see many students cursing their teachers because of their failure, not knowing that they are totally a self-made enemy to themselves. The same teacher who taught those who have A's is the same teacher who taught those who have F's. All you need is to sit tight and count yourself among those who will be scoring A's.
Imagine a lady who has gotten married for years but still expecting the fruit of the womb and when you ask her why she hasn't had any baby. The next thing you hear is that "It was my great grandmother who cursed me when I was a child that I will never have a baby, that's why I'm still barren."
This lady will easily forget when she has been having fun, aborting countless pregnancies when she was a wore forgetting the law of Galatia 6:7.
You see, even if any witch is having dominion over you and you are a christian, you have to blame yourself because the Bible says Resist the devil and it shall flee away from you. You have the power in you, if you don't use it you have to be blamed.
That reminds me of my own story. Due to some issues, I was forced to attend a public school at Primary 4, a poor school with lazy teachers. I was a newcomer then, whenever I spoke in English my mates would be making jest of me because they were used to Yoruba. They forced me to speak in Yoruba till I passed out.
When I got to SSS1, I could not speak good English constructively well again because I had been used to it, we were not encouraged at all to speak in English at all.
At SSS3, I had become a English Language liability, and I went before the Lord, presented 3-prayer points which ability to speak eloquently was included.
God now connected me with people online who helped in shaping my speaking ability, he also deposited the virtue of Reading in me and through these means I have improved a lot.
Did you know I have some of my mates who attended the same school I attended but they are still blaming the government and teachers for their inability to speak articulately. Please, don't join them, your destiny is at your hand. Determine it.
Today, whenever I speak they listen to my words of wisdom. One of them came to me and said "You must have attended one of the best schools in Nigeria." And I said No.
Sometimes, I would use my pocket money to buy books without having what to eat the next day. Up till now I week without a new book is a miserable week for me.
The Bottom Line
Friends stop blaming people for your weaknesses, accept your mistakes and work on yourself.
